Prime for Life Adults
Prime for Life is an evidence-based program that focuses on exploring the risks of using subtances and examining what we can do to reduce risk to protect the things we value most in life.
This program can be leveraged for indicated adult populations including people in early recovery, justice-involved individuals, the re-entry community, and people interested in responsible use. The 12-, 16-, and 20-hour courses are designed for these indicated groups whose members are actively making high-risk choices or may be facing legal charges. Any of these course options can be offered to groups from 4-10 people that would be most practical for interested individuals. The only cost associated with this course is for the participant workbooks, which Penobscot Bay Community Health Partnerships can help cover.
These programs would allow adults to have the opportunity to learn about the health risks of substance use from a vetted professional with a master’s degree in public health who is endorsed by the state as a provisional prevention specialist.
