Penobscot Bay Community Health Partnerships, the community health promotion branch of the Penobscot Bay YMCA, serves Knox and Waldo counties collaborating with the community and local organizations to support healthier living in the state of Maine.
Our Work
Resources
We are dedicated to empowering our community through accessible information and support. We offer free essential information-based resources and materials, including free print materials, along with safety and prevention tools like medication lock boxes and other safe storage solutions. We aim to create a more informed community that feels empowered and safe for each one of our neighbors.
Programming
We provide programs to enhance community well-being, including free nutrition education for all ages, evidence-based youth prevention education, and community trainings like Responsible Beverage Server Training. Our youth programs, such as Prime for Life and Catch My Breath, promote informed decision-making and healthy choices.
Collaboration
We connect essential resources to those in need and nurture supportive partnerships. Our community gatherings create unique connections, and monthly meetings promote local collaboration for positive change. We engage with youth in schools during lunch, providing information and conversations about long-term health and wellness.
